- Grab the fabric end of the sling (tail) and gather the material
- Pass the fabric through both rings
- Thread the fabric back through the lower ring
- Pull the fabric through and straighten
- Adjust as needed
- Hold your slings rings with one hand with the “tail” of the sling hanging in front of the rings
- Slide your other arm through the “loop” of the sling and carry over your head
- Lay the rings on the upper part of your shoulder with the tail laying flat
- While opening the pocket of the sling, carefully place your child inside. Support the weight of the child while adjusting the sling. Use the tail (either side at a time or both) to make the needed adjustment to secure the child.
Notes for wearing your sling
- If using your sling with a newborn, it is important that you always support your infants head until your sling is properly adjusted to provided the needed support.
- There are many positions to wear your child in. As they get older/heavier, try different positions to carry your child. This will help reduce any strain on your body.
- If you experience any discomfort while wearing your sling, check the following:
- Ensure your sling fabric is properly spread across your back
- Try a different position with your child
- Adjust the rings higher or lower in relation to your shoulder and then tighten
